Rent Me……& Join the ‘Lambros’

zzz-8956Have you ever wanted to see exactly what that car on the poster in your high school bedroom felt like to drive? How about what the RACE CAR version might feel like?LamboChase

How cool was that movie – “Cannon Ball Run”? WHO could forget that opening scene with the Countach being chased by the police?

Or in the 2nd movie when they were doing donuts and washing the white paint off of the red car?LamboSquirt

What if you could experience that now? What if that experience could benefit kids in need? Kids that are caught in the system and suffering in a tremendous way as a result.

Well – now is your chance to, “…crush some laps in a lambo…” – Dan B.

Picture 5Thru the largess of donor & racing friend Bryn Owen, Guardian Angel Motorsports has been given the use of this 2013 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Gallardo to raise money for these children.  A large portion of your rental fee to race or simply drive this car at speed for a day goes towards the support of kids in need.   The rental engagement will be an arrive and
drive outing with tires, fuel, transport, crew and insurance included.  You only need to bring your helmet & driving gear.  Bryn is running a 488 GTB in Ferrari Challenge this year with Miller Motor Cars.  Kash

In the past 8 years, we’ve donated over $425,000 to children and their families that are suffering immediate health, safety and severe quality of life issues.   We want to use this tool to double that number.

We’re Three Days Away from Waging War Against Child Abuse

We’re Three Days Away from Waging War Against Child Abuse

….and super EXCITED! The cars are together in trekking north from Sarasota, FL as I type. Every single nut & bolt has been touched. Alignments checked and re-checked. The driver’s have their bags packed and are nervously counting down the hours to departure.

But the best news of all is the fundraising progress.

Our WAR on child abuse has already collected a bounty. We’re HALFWAY TO THE GOAL! Thru your wonderful support, we’re going to be able to profoundly impact children who would otherwise know nothing other than neglect & abuse in their homes. These funds will allow 5 Cumberland County kids to receive mentors via South Jersey Bigs, an amazing organization that simply had no more funding left for these children in need.

Just a little more elbow grease and we’ll be able to get to our target of 12 sponsored children! Every dollar counts and we can’t do it without you.

Remember:

  • $10 given by 6 people gets one family access to the critical health care services they need to dramatically minimize the child’s risk of abuse or neglect.
  • $100 will take a full $.25/lap off our $50/lap goal. If 12 people do this, we’ll fund a ‘big’ for a ‘little’ for an entire year.
  • $.50/lap over the estimated 430 lap race will put FOUR new families into Robins Nest, Inc healthy families program.

Do you know anyone that might be inspired by the effort and would consider donating?

Taking on the Devil in The Dark in the Name of Child Abuse

Taking on the Devil in The Dark in the Name of Child Abuse

Southborough, MA April 8, 2016 – In support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, Guardian Angel Motorsports (GAM) is launching a two car, team assault on Southern New Jersey’s Devil in the Dark 12 hour endurance race. GAM has joined forces with the Pinwheels for Prevention program, which has waged war on child abuse in America.

“All children deserve great childhoods because our children are our future”

The 12hr SCCA endurance race will be held April 23, 2016 at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Cumberland County, where the race will be taking place, is ranked at the very bottom of all NJ counties for child well-being. “Cumberland County had more child abuse and neglect investigations than an other county in NJ – they actually had more than double the statewide average in 2015,” points out GAM founder Bruce Ledoux.

South Jersery Bigs, the regional chapter of Big Brother, Big Sister, along with Robin’s Nest Inc will be the two beneficiaries of the team’s efforts. Funds raised will allow each cause to fund at least 12 new children or 24 total in their mentor and healthy family programs. These programs cost over $1200 per child to deliver. Guardian Angel Motorsports looks to raise $1,000 for every hour that each car races or a total of $24,000. “The statistics are staggering and we think we can really make an impact through this event,” says Precision Driving team owner Marko Radisic.

Each two driver team will race their BMW for 12 hours to complete a targeted 430 laps (over 1,000 miles), funding their objective. Team driver Nick Mercier notes that, “…these races are normally performed in four driver teams but the Guardian Angel army wants to show solidarity with the size of the challenge these kids in need face by racing short handed. Anything is possible if you set your mind to it…”

Supporters can buy their pinwheels to put on the the race cars at the Guardian Angel Motorsports webpage. Each donor will be able to put their name on a pinwheel and have it race the 12hrs in show of their support.

Join Us July 30 at Whiskey Hill Raceway!

There is something about summer that is just plain liberating. Especially Summer 2015 after the winter we had in Boston with over NINE FEET OF SNOW in just 28 days. Hard to believe now as we strap our helmets onto our sweat filled brow.

The 2015 car season has been one of my personal best with a spring of super fulfilling racing @ The Nurburgring in Germany. Trials & Tribulations of which you can read about HERE. A particular highlight was a 90 minute endurance win together with my wife @ Monticello together this season – executed with the kids as pit crew!

Check Out some highlights from our journey to The Ring:
